What makes me unique?
I am a genuinely curious and inquisitive person. From the straightforward problems to the complex; I enjoy the work I do. I am continually learning from my patients, peer discussions, and staying up to date with the latest in research and medical discoveries.
I stay practical. There is no one size fits all treatment for even the most routine ailments. There are also A LOT of innovative treatments that, may be low risk, but the cost for only possible benefit is questionable.
I understand the body as a whole and through all ages and stages. While I no longer practice as a family medicine physician, my background in family medicine has given me a strong foundation in treating all genders, ages, and how co-morbidities (other conditions) may affect each individual.
“I may not have THE answer, at this time, but I will do my best to provide AN answer and solution to your pain or problem.”
Osteopathic medical viewpoint. In osteopathic medical school we complete and additional 400+ hours of hands-on education in the musculoskeletal system. Osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMM) has shaped how I view each individual I treat. I have great awareness and experience in looking for even small discrepancies in movement of the human body. While I routinely perform movement examinations, I do not routinely perform osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT, OMM) as the results are often short-lived without addressing the chronic issue and establishing a well-developed home exercise regimen with a physical therapist.
